Every old horse is a living legend -- and Glen Shea farm offers a diligently-supervised horse retirement service,
suitable for horses and ponies of all disciplines.
As horses age and
can no longer take an active role in work, sport or hobby riding,
decisions on the suitability and cost of their continued stabling and
pasture needs can become difficult.
A comfortable retirement agistment, at very reasonable rates, means
your horse has pleasant pastures, attention and company in its twilight
years.
Located near Hawkesdale in South-West Victoria, Australia, Glen Shea
owners Erica and Phil have a genuine affection for horses, with more than
35 years experience in horse care and various horse disciplines.

A few
requirements:
To ensure the health and comfort of your horse, quarterly
drenching, an annual dental checkup and hoof trimming as necessary are
required for all horses (see the agistment page for
details.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept sick horses, or animals
with severe injuries. The 'usual ailments' of increasing age are to be
expected and any particular needs or likely requirements will be
discussed with you.
